Finally got to fly the B29.. OMG, how I do soooo love this bird!

Enduring the seemingly endless frames of A6M2s, Spit1s, and those Gawd-aweful hurricanes finally paid off.

Thank you, folks, for one of the most enjoyable frames I've had in a long, long, long time.

 we did our best. three of us from the 325th stayed back with TeeRex. he'd taken damage, and lost an engine, thus was unable to keep up. icemaker, newblood, and myself stayed with him the entire way back, to be sure he got his birds home safe.
 it was funny/dissappointing. a ki61 came in at him nearly halfway home. i thought i was gonna be in for a fight, and turned into him. he saw the three escorts, and kept on going.

Yup!  That's why I hate the Hurri and A6M2.. about the only thing they can run away from is a hangar!
