Mayans didn't predict the end of the world. It's just an end of the 12th calendar cycle. 13 was a holy number for Mayans. A mayan calendar that reaches 7000 years in the future was recently found.

Does anyone know if this is going to happen at the beginning of the day or more towards the end? Also what time zone, is it going to be GMT, or hopefully PST? The reason I'm asking is if it's going to be GMT perhaps we should hold FSO Thursday night. Just this one time, since it's the end of the world and all. If it's going to happen after 2200 PST then we can just hold it at it's normal time Friday night. Of course the logs might not get posted in time so maybe we should just go ahead and have it Thursday night just to be on the safe side.

Sadly, I think this is gonna be a problem..... there are a lot of stupid people out there (statistically, 50% of the people are "below average" intellegence, and truth is, "average" is pretty damn stupid), and as it gets closer and closer to Friday, we're gonna see a rash of criminal behavior as these idiots go berzerk and do whatever they want, thinking it's all gonna be over soon anyway. Thefts, murders, you name it. I'm afraid this is gonna bring out the crazies. Goodness knows, the media has been hyping this crap for months, every other show on History channel is about the apocolypse.
