The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher

Worth starting to read the series? There are a lot in the series and don't want to start it up if they get bad as you go along.

Really good supernatural Raymond Chandler-esque fun.

Not my style, but my best friend read the whole series over the summer. Says their damn good. You should read them with confidence.

I've read them all and they're pretty entertaining.  Good character development over the series, interesting villains, credible plot twists.  And Butcher is more prolific than Glen Cook, the writer of my other favorite fantasy detective series (the Garrett, P.I. novels).

Haven't read the series (never have time to read for fun these days), but there was a short lived TV series based on it. Netflix has it on disc and streaming. Really enjoyed the show and would've liked to have seen it run longer.
