Although, personally I'd prefer a system where when you collided, you just came to a stop. Part of the reason they end up inverted is because there seems to be some sort of auto 'bounce back' coded in game. Also if there ever were any 'tank traps' modeled in any maps, this would make them ineffective.
That said I wouldn't mind a button for 'flip vehicle' coded in either, but just make enabled only when you are actually inverted. Wouldn't want to see people frog-leaping tanks to get away from an incoming shell.
Oh and in before some uber drivejockey jumps in saying "don't drive into trees".
