What were you in?  Some fellas use the pintle to figure where the main gun is gonna hit when they have a so so angle on an enemy tank, and then fire.  This may of happened to you.

I've killed a couple of Panzers with the MG in the Jeep but the only way to do it is from behind them hitting the engine compartment.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

i once killed a tiger with a 20mm from my spit9.  I may have hit him with some .303's too as I was marking him for the tanks on the ground.

Killed as in you were awarded the kill when he bailed or something?
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

"Opps just seen they where talking about a tiger... saying that. at 25mm top hull armor for the tiger there is still a slim chance to kill it with the 20s from 42 and the 1943 AP rounds could Penetration at 200 yards (30 degrees) 48mm of harden steel."

No reason the spits 20s could not knock out a panzer 4 if the shot was taken a very close range and a reasonably high angle. The chart below shows that the 11mm top hull and 16mm top turret could be penetrated by the Hispano rounds issued after mid 42.

If HTC modeled the 1943 Mrk III AP round then yes. a lot of tanks would be even bigger sitting ducks for mossies, spits, hurries and typhies.

Hmm.  Nope, I've not ever destroyed a tank with an MG.  Not every really tried.  I have however used a jeep with great effect vs an M3, M8, and M18.

Many people forget that once the turret is out on the M8 and M18 it has no armament at all (ditto for the Firefly).  With the .50 cal HMG on the jeep, I've destroyed M3's and M8's, and turreted M18's and Wirby's.
