Watch the video....WOW you talk about blowing someone up!!!  what a hit...if this was taught more in the college ranks and definatley in the NFL ranks the game would be better. Best hit in a long time.  Scroll down to the vid.

To be honest, I dont think it is the hit of the year.  Figure the speed they were going at, the force of impact wouldnt be as big as some of these other hits the safeties have put on this year because the speed that a WR and the speed a safety are going at before collision.  Clowney wasnt at full speed and Smith definitely wasnt going very fast.  It looks much worse than it is because Clowney hit him with perfect form and his helmet actually hit just under Smith's helmet.  That would knock off anyone's helmet.  Thankfully Clowney isnt in the NFL yet or that would have gotten a fine from the ruthless Goodell.

This video is a compilation of hits from college last year and next month the video from this past season will be up.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bv89-0CdEIY

Majority of those hits are bigger than Clowney's and I will assume there are hits bigger than Clowney's in terms of how big of a hit they are.  It just looks worse because of the helmet coming off which is just the result of the helmet hitting right under it.

I will say though Clowney is a freak and living up to every expectation of him coming out of high school.  He is the next Julius Peppers without question.  I just hope he doesnt get screwed and get drafted by a 3-4 team.  He is a 4-3 defensive end and that is the defense South Carolina runs, he needs to be in a 4-3 system.  Too many players get screwed by the system they get put in by changes in coordinators going from 4-3 to 3-4 or vise versa.

Didnt make the video.  But I agree the music is poop.  This video has a bit better music.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isXVk0z3efY

Btw watching them Gators on TV (gator fan), that hit Bostic on Bridgewater already bigger than Clowney's in my opinion.  Bostic was going full speed into him.  Bridgewater got up not knowing where he was.  The Gators are hitting them hard.

Yeah, that game was pretty much called before it started.  Fail all the way on a match up there.  Turned down tickets as it is cheaper to stay home and watch it instead of going there and spending $10 a beer.

The Gators are a second half team.  Their offense comes alive in the 2nd half, Pease does some magic adjustments at half time.

The way the Gators are hitting Louisville though, the Cardinals are not going want to come out in the 2nd half.  They are all going want to be in ice baths at half time.

i was sitting about halfway up the lower bowl at that game, and Clowney made that hit just about right in front of where I was. It was incredible! That was the play that really got the fans back into the game. The very next play, Connor hits Ace on a great pass and Ace makes an even greater catch for the TD.

But that hit, we were cheering louder almost than we did for the game-winning TD. Incredible hit, incredible game :rock

Lots of talk from someone who didn't pay attention to which team Clowney calls home................

Fixed.....was talking to a friend on facebook about the next upcoming star out of high school, Robert Nkemdiche who will probably be better than Clowney.  Was mentioning on Facebook that he is probably going go to Clemson even with the decommit hence the typo.  Guy is bigger and just as fast as Clowney coming out of high school.

... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

2:24 - that flag was for the hit, right?

The flag was for interference of the returner.  The punt returner waived his hand for fair catch and was hit anyways.

That's what I figured. Was the player who hit him sent off? As in, Do Not Return?
