We are not re-creating WW2 here... Just throwing the planes together into an all out MMO slugfest to see what happens!

HTC currently has a system which will provide a more encompassing experience, its just a matter of applying whats already there.

If you would like to see what happens to an online WW2 flight simulator when you try to introduce a "more encompassing experience" to the general population, take a long hard look at a little game called Warbirds and its history.

I don't know what it is about some people- they just can't get the idea or rolling plane sets or otherwise limited selection or thinking that mashing buttons makes things better out of their thick skulls.  Aces High's main arena setup and engine management is the best compromise I've seen yet.

We have FSO and Scenarios for realism junkies looking for the authentic WW2 simulator experience.  Those are awesome, even if you suck at 'em (like me! :D)

If planes from 41 up were perked, do you really think people could make enough kills in them to pay off the plane (like a 51)?

Plenty of other things in this game can kill you then just another one.
Many of us have thousands upon tens of thousands of perk points.  You stick a mediocre guy like me in a P-51D and place new players in 1941 stuff and I will rarely, if ever, lose a P-51D.  Imagine what it would be like for the players who are actually good.

You would make the game nigh impossible for new players.

What you've just written is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this forum is now dumber for having seen it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
A simple no would have sufficed....
Formally Merc flying with the 99th Blue Lagoon Bandits
I wish people would use the wish list forum to post their brilliant ideas, and be smart enough to not post all their stupid ones.

But I am under no disillusions of my wish ever being fulfilled.

The 'pro' players should have perked late war rides and free early war rides. The noobs should have unperked monster rides to even up the odds. Even now the sign of a true 'pro' is flying P40 etc. rides. A score'pro' in LA7 doesn't get any respect.

I can handle myself in early war birds now, on my first 2 weeks I hardly could keep the birds in the air (ok, energy management was different and all but still). This kind of setup would even up the playfield and make the MA more noob friendly.

But of course the MA is full of so called 'pro' players who care only about their personal score padding and nothing else.

not true(for me that is) I dont care what anyone flies....it is how they fly that determines whether they deserve respect or not......

take for instance a N1k....it could quite possibly very easy to act like a HOtard in one of those...but if the guy fights and uses ACM to fight and does not just HO he most certainly deserves respect....same goes for any plane.....

if a 190  uses his BnZ ability to the fullest to kill me...I will respect him far more then a 190 stick that makes one pass and hauls bellybutton till friends are there....

I do like the idea of ALL planes being perked....and then a training arena to go and earn perks for the Main arena (if you dont earn perks in the MA).....a training arena that has AI and the new staged mission......

For me there's nothing more sad than see a veteran player with top 100 score go around in LA7 doing easymode score padding. Or even worse, tempest / 262 just seal clubbing. Then again people like Greebo who excel in very mediocre plane selection get my highest respect.

one of the best turners ingame.......tough as nails....dives great=mediocre  :headscratch:

if the LA is vulching and HOing I would agree....but if he is fighting the gang lonewolf....then he deserves respect.

the gangs are in over abundance....even the greatest stick in the best plane stands little chance against a swarm of red.....(excluding the 262/Temp)

I say worry less about what others are doing and what they are flying.

top 100 score means nothing..... :aok

I agree Aces High has by far the best game play of any on line game I have tried. I tried World of Planes and World of tanks and was not impressed. My entire squad went to World of Tanks but it was not for me. I am a stroke victim and and added bonus for me playing this game is it did more to help me than all the therapy I had at the VA.

Close the Early war and Mid war arena

+1 to that part.  I was actually happy when they made that change to add the other arenas but the numbers are so low that it is no use going there.

As far as the rest of the request...

It's mediocre at best. Or do you perhaps see many people flying it? You can't see much out of it, it can't match the speed of the late war rides and it doesn't even pack cannons. Greebo is doing miracles in it. An average player can't survive more than a minute in it.

Rather than close EW and MW why not eliminate one of the sides (Bish, Rooks or Knights) in the LW arena? There would be a lot more action this way. Not sure why there are 3 sides anyway?

Because it is more balanced and reduces the chances of there being a perpetually outnumbered side.
