I did KOTH for the first time and won all my fights, except one....

all roll from 1 airfield...in same plane...fuel and ammo up to you....get 5 k distance cant go above 6K....when fight on is called thats exactly what it is fight till the last guy is alive...win 3 rounds you win the event....win a KOTH get invited to the TOC KOTH...

the thing about KOTH it is one of the few places in AH you are guaranteed to find great fights

if you like great fights.....then it is anything but stupid.

Sounds like a fight with luck...whoever doesn't get picked on first, then eventually it becomes just another 1v1. But meh, maybe one of these days I'll try it out, I have no experience in the matter so I'll keep an eye out for the next one.

Tried that many times, both DA and TA.  Thousands of sorties.   Some of the best pilots tried helping me many many times, without success.    Nothing is helping me advance any further.

A child can not comprehend calculus, unless they are a genius prodigy.

Defeat is admitted in my quest to approach the awesomeness of my FPHs. 

My only other option is to buy a CH combat stick and hope said stick will push me through said ceiling.

Reality must be accepted instead of fantasy.

Although one can always continue to dream.

I HOed Pawz's 262 and won.

There is still MA fun to be had in picking, vulching, HOing, winning, and losing.

 

 

I claimed in another thread to now have a 5% to 10% chance of shooting Bruv down.  I was wrong.

Having fought Bruv dozens of times recently, I must now say that only with the best of luck and circumstances can I achieve a 1% chance of said victory, and only on very rare occasion, if ever.      

I am not as good as I thought -- yet.  In fact, compared to those with Bruv level skill, I stink.  Having hit a ceiling in my abilities, I am now stuck to said ceiling and have been for months. 

I hereby apologize to all for overstating my abilities, they are not as I had hoped.  An apology is also necessary for several recent moment(s) of weakness for which I have given my way much consideration.

Finally, I can not (yet) comprehend the level of skill and awesomeness displayed by said FPH and continue to be truly in awe.

I made a mistake and admit same.  Truth is truth.

But after tens of thousands of sorties, and thousands of hours, I have hit my ceiling as of a few months ago.

There is something going on in multi dimensional spacial thinking with the top pilots that is beyond me. 

I want to learn and understand it, but I think it's beyond my current mental capacity.

Tried it once, all went out like ink said , had a great fight down to the grass, finally I get the kill shot at just above stall speed when some guy, can't rem who had been loitering nearby next to us the whole time swoops in and get the easy kill.

You have to engage the nearest fighter. No loitering allowed. If you see it happening, call it out to the CM.

 Although I loved KOTH in AW, and did it here a couple times, I think that the ladder matches are a better way to fight. I havent tried them yet, so I may be wrong, but in KOTH some folks have a real talent at looking like they are fighting, but bide their time, waiting till the end before totally committing.

Killing mana is easy. Just wait for him when he is taking off after a disco or jump/rope a dope him from 4k above.

Well, having "mentioned" my recent dueling session with him in the DA earlier in this thread, and my having "mentioned" 100% wins on my part in said session... ergo DA pwnage of Debrody in said session... you have to be impressed he hasn't said anything bad / harsh about me in this thread.  

Perhaps Debrody can keep his chin up more than previously thought.
It is just a game for fun as most everyone already knows.
Losing often to Bruv can be frustrating though.


It makes one question their ability to learn, at least for me.
