Cheating at Aces High?
« on: January 23, 2013, 08:49:58 PM »
Playing a game with cheaters sucks and when it happens enough any game can be ruined.

I do not notice cheating in aces high like i would playing ps3 online games.

Im wondering if people cheat in Aces High?
If so, how have you seen it done? what did you see?
Is there anything in the system that prevents cheating?

I saw a guy fly a spit with his Entire right wing gone.  He kept alt better than a falling bird and was able to change his course. I flew away before died.
Also, I get discoed sometimes and think, "oh, that was well timed. fuffn cheatn sofa bish".

Please share your thoughts.....cuz im  :bolt:

it has been done and they have been banned.  what else do you have to say.  Film it. then send it in and viola done.
They call it "common sense", then why is it so uncommon?

Some players after I've shot them down seem to think I do.

I was listening to a guy whine about you the other night on range.
"There's no way a P-38 can do that. It's impossible!"
Oh, it's possible.

You should read the rules, NONE of this is an allowed subject to be discussed on these boards.

If you have an issue email HTC, provide film if you have it. They take any type of even ATTEMPTS at cheating very seriously.

If you were here when the 8 players arena was open, a couple of folks had hacks. I'm talking obvious hacks. People who were there knows. Though I doubt I can say what it was without getting slapped with a rule warning.

I wonder if its possible to set up some kind of filter on the servers. Like if they get some data that doesn't match up (say, P-47 with 20mm's), then they could capture the data packets in question, and kick the guy off the server untill someone can check to see if the server just made a mistake, or if someone slapped a 110's armament onto a P-47's wings.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

By FAR most accusations of cheating are based on either misconceptions or flat out ignorance.   What's more it is the opinion of HTC that discussing or making accusations in public does more harm than good, especially considering that most the time the accuser is just wrong.

HTC is the only party who can ascertain if something fishy is going on or not and they are the only party who can take any corrective action.  If you think someone is cheating/hacking then you film it or .report it and notify them via email so that the issue can be handled in private.  If there is something to handle then trust that they WILL take action, it is a subject they take very, very seriously.

That is the only way to handle it.

Yea, no kidding, they wiped out the free arena because of a few hackers. So much for potential customers.
