I agree with ImADot. Not that anyone cares but here is my 2 cents.
#1 - I admire Perdue's feedback
#2 - Good on Perdue for coming back each week to participate in FSO.
#3 - Had the balance been on target (40/60 instead of 60/40), the results would have been different
And finally - Understanding the plane sets and based on the balance, our squad did 4 dimentional attacks on the target area. The P40 is best equipped in a dive and maintaining energy state where the A6 is better equipped for the turn. As a result, our approach for the attack was to send in the bulk of our B25 in on the deck with a clean up high altitude B25s coming in 5 to 8 minutes after the initial attack (well within the 60 minute requirement). The A6 would have been high in the beginning to at least be co alt for any fighter sweeps. If they had to dive in on the B25s that were NOE they risked their planes breaking apart in the dive, causing them to have to drop altitude slowly while having to fight nasty swarms of fast P40s. Being in B25s the first 2 frames, I can say that had there been 60% A6s instead of 40% A6s, we more than likely would have lost a much more significant amount of bombers than we did. In both instances, we did get jumped eventually and they were relentless.
Summary - Numbers would have changed the outcome and made this a much closer event than it was.
to all those that do participate week in and week out. This past month for FSO really does show why participation is so important and highlights everyone's appreciation for each guy that makes it to every FSO. Mad props to the CM Team also. This month really did come down to the squads and the individual pilot. Participation does matter.
