Why? For calling out poor behaviour on so consistant a basis as displayed by Perd? Its called accountability something  your lead may lack, if some of the grumbles I hear are true.

Uh oh, some big words are making an appearance and that can't be good...

Its an AVG 1942 setup. The AVG was operational from Dec 1941-July of 1942. Ok done. Secondly we have the RAF Hurricanes involved so that puts it Jan 42+ onwards. That also jibes with having Ki-43s and Ki-27s on the IJ side. So it's 1-42 to 7-42 inclusive. The first 6 months of 1942. It's Burma cuz the natives said thats where were were when we landed, at least that's what I recall...I do remember jungle, and fire, and a lot of shooting.

Hooray then mystery solved. Is there supposed to be something we all do now? shake hands?, sing? what? somebody help me out here im new to the thread. Is there a problem, were we supposed to fly to the ETO with our A6M2s and P-40s? did somebody spot the Yeti? did Beyonce really lipsink? throw me a bone here boys...

Is it safe to come out now?...sure a lot of fireworks for a basic score thread. Maybe let's all just back away and leave the way we came in hmm?

Anybody have directions to Rome via Mandalay by road? ;)

Thank you. My inaccuracy accusation is now flawed due to your answer. That wasnt so hard was it Mr CM?

CAP can tell me when this event was supposed to take place and Ill either make my point or apologize for doubting him.

...And I another reason I like FSO is that it encourages me to get off my backside and start hunting through the bookshelves behind me to look for something relevant.
I dusted off Christopher Shore's "Air War for Burma: The Allied Air Forces Fight Back in South-East Asia 1942-1945 (The Bloody Shambles Series, Vol. 3)" and you just know with a title that long it has to be a great read.
The incredible detail of each day of the fight that he provides is amazing.  Luckily I am now old enough that each time I pick it up to read it seems like the first time.

Fully recommended if you want to tie in a date and a plane type and a battle just for the individual comfort and general betterment attained in gaining knowledge simply for the sheer joy of it.

Interestingly he also co-wrote this:

Haven't read it.  Might be worth my while grabbing it one day.

I am sorry I doubted you CM's. <S>

I do believe however that the information I requested took WAY too long to be released, but it was released nonetheless which is rare. Til next time!

If it was so "pathetically easy" then why didn't you tell us all way back on page 2. No, added no factual information to alleviate the debate like Squire did. You just elicited insults yourself.  It always amazed me on this board that someone could ask a question and get all kinds of comments and answers from people not even being asked. (really good in the bugs board)

As for 'fun'. It doesn't have anything to do with setups. You can fly for the sake of comradeship and for formulated competition but still have a lousy setup (not referring to this one necessarily)

this was an ok FSO. it just needed a touch more clarity and suffered from unforeseen attendance % issue.  I know that CAP will make any adjustments if needed. As long as you guys cool it and allow for feedback.

Thanks Dantoo for the info.  :salute

I responded to the piss poor way of communicating your friend has. The dude has 0 humility, your defense of his consistently  inflammatory and ill conceived posts makes me think you need to be lumped in with him as his enabler.
