The "best" is much the same as beauty being in the eye of the beholder.  The "best" player is one who can sit in some of the most challenging aircraft and be "successful", whatever that means.

Who is the better hunter? An archer who hunts and stalks his prey for miles and miles working for every inch of cover and concealment, or the rifleman hunkered down in a heated blind elevated 12 feet in the air with a 7mm magnum rifle who waits for the prey to come to within 500 yards?  See my point?

Who is the "best" bomber pilot?  Who can be sent to a small airfield in a Mossi and destroy both ords, the radar, and all 4 fuel tanks consistently?  Who can de-ack a small airfield in 4 passes?  See where I am going with this?

I completely understand wanting to label someone the "best" at something, but it truly is a broad base of opinions.  Should the "best" be able to take a P40C and defeat an average Joe in a Spit16?

I have met so many good fighters I can't even remember all their names.  :(

ArchieD has made me work for my kill every time I fight him
Bruv just knows exactly what I'm doing before I even think of doing it
RedBull always out turns me before I know whats going on
Moron I have not fought a whole lot but he got me 4 times in a row one night
warhed just like Bruv knows what I'm going to do and gets me every time
Krupnski sets those tail slide shots up so well I never stand a chance against him
Fester has thoroughly kicked my butt every time I have crossed his gunsights

Have not gotten to fight ink/JETSOM at all I think, but I know he's one tough opponent

Best fighters in the game  are the ones who
do not need wingman/men to be successfull.

we have fought a few times...you were mostly in JUG me KI so its an unfair fight....but we never fought in DA
I should have put you on the list of "in a particular airframe" because you are one of the best I have seen in the JUG

ok I know some don't like these topics and think it is chest thumping.....(you can call me a chest thumping DA-tard if ya want) ...but a few remarks in another thread got me thinking about it.....I am talking about pure Dog Fighting here.....NOT the ability to stay alive....(which has its own set of skillz)

my list of the best fighters in AH are as follows (not necessarily in any particular order or active.)

again this is MY OPINION from doing NOTHING but fighting in AH since tour 52

Fester- probably the best there is....exceptional in all aspects of fighting
Grizz- all around great flyer....exceptional Aim
Sunsfan- very hard to beat, knows E well....exceptional Aim
Bruv- very good flyer.......exceptional Aim
Redbull- excellent reaction time....great Aim
Krupinski- excellent stall fighter.....great Aim
Bighorn- excellent all around flyer knows all aspects of fighting exceptional Aim
Shane- very good stall fighter....Aim not so good....
Scotch- excellent stall fighter.....
Kappa-  can fly anything and be great in it....excellent Aim,
JOACH1M- very good reaction time, great Aim
Debrody- loves the stall fight..... excels at it
Lazer- all around great flyer......excellent Aim
Nath- great stick..... excellent Aim
JETSOM- excellent SA/merge......mediocre aim(yes I include myself, for I have beaten all these guys..... many of them, more then once:-)

I know there are more but my mind is drawing a blank for more names......when I think of them I will add them.

there are other players that I have heard are great but haven't fought them (or only fought them once)

IE
Kazza
Mtnman
levi
widewing

there are a lot of other players that excel in an individual plane

2cmex in the N1k
Olddemon in 51
AKAK in 38
Shuffler in 38
Greebo in F6
Shida in KI 84
Agent360 in 109
Shawk in F4U
SkyRock in F4U
Irishone in 190
Pervert in 190

so am I wrong?  how close is your list of best "fighters"

I challenge anyone who wants to get on that list to take me to DA and Prove they belong on it. :x :x :joystick: :joystick: :old: :old:............................. ............................. ............................. .... :t

Half those players I've only had the pleasure to guage by their ability to HO.

This thread is  :rofl    :joystick:  :ahand

More of a handful than half I guess, but yes Ink, I think we can all get pressed into HOing, lord knows I've given up all refrain from doing it lately.

I will ho babby and his squadies every time they insist on ganging me in the MA. I will cordially 1v1 them every time it develops.

Grizz taught me this the hard way back when he was getting frustrated at the hordlings shortly before he took his leave, even if you have 3-friendlies chasing your six and turn into me - I WON'T AVOID and get tattered by a good shot, HO that sucka!
