Was having the vox freezing when starting the game which has been happening for a while. Basically log in and tune to myself to check if the vox is working and the game would freeze for few seconds, advanced graphics would disable and then the game would unfreeze, I would reset the graphics setting and everything would be fine. So I decided tonight I would finally trouble shoot that issue. So first started and realized that on-board sound was on, so turned that off in the BIOS as I currently have a SB-XFi card.I also disabled "High Definition Audio Device" in Device Manager as well. Then noticed via device Manager the sound card and the video card (GTX 660 Ti SC) were on the same IRQ (16). I have plenty of open PCIE slots so I moved it to another one. Checked Device Manger and now the Video card is on 17 and sound card on 16. So proceed to go into the game, I have made no other changes than to move the card and turn off the on-board sound in the BIOS. I jump in the game, I can hear planes flying etc, tune to myself hit the transmit button no freeze, but now no VOX. I make sure the sound card and all the cables from my headset are plugged in correctly and they are. I go into Windows and troubleshoot for a while trying to record, still nothing. I even turned the on board sound back on, enabled the High Definition Audio device in device manager, still no vox. The sound card was not put into a new PCI slot or anything, just moved the video card and cannot for the life of me figure out why I can hear everything, but the MIC will not transmit? Hopefully someone has experienced this before and can guide me in the right direction? (Windows 7 machine 64bit)
