Skuzzy was right yet again...

Just saw a news story on my local news that microsoft will no longer let you buy a license to MS Office outright. You will now pay $100/year subscription for up to 5 PCs  :huh

You know there are other ways of getting practically every program out there.

Honestly windows is still better taken all in all. Can't play many games on Derpple, they're WAY overpriced, and frankly I don't want to have any association with the apple snobs.

You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

You should have paid closer attention to your local news report.  You can still buy conventional MS Office, you just won't be able install MS Office on multiple machines or access the features of Office 365 (subscription version).

You forgot about Apple suing the other company because they made the product first.

No need to be a dick. I did pay attention. The news report specificly said no more conventional licenses. It wouldn't be the first time the news reported incorrect info.

LOL I noticed Newegg is selling their computers with a free downgrade to windows 7.  MS has a pattern of putting out bad products then years of selling software to fix their problem.

I don't have the need to steal software.  I buy legally what I use.
