Are you ready to record a whine?
« on: January 31, 2013, 10:09:41 AM »
Ok, here it comes:

I was waiting one month for my favorite map coming up. And there I was, hoping for nice night of Aces High on Compello when it was taken down by Skuzzy after a few hours by arena reset.  :furious  :bhead  :cry

Trinity has always been one of my most favorite maps.......

with the ? Uterus ?  the map with the big lake  in the middle and all bases surrounding the outer edge, where only 2 countrys can fight each other for the most part, hardly possible to hve a 3 country battle going on, being my least liked map

anyhows,  good for you, Lusche, on your "A Whine has been recorded"  :D

Sad, I flew for 10 years and I can't remember compello.  :headscratch:

Trinity is hopefully rotting in some dust laden hard drive in a garbage heap somewhere.

It needed some fixin up.  I'm having lots of fun in other maps with close gv spawn points (there's more than just one, too!), and I don't miss the single spawn (135) on a single map (trinity) that often left 1 of the 3 countries wondering where all the GV action was at and scrounging for any.

I hope it comes back eventualy too, but only after first getting rid of 135 or adding two more for the other countries to participate playing with the fun, adding more GV spawns, seperating some towns stacked on bases, maybe lowering the mountains sperating the fronts to somewhere signifigantly less than 15k where otherwise ocen doesnt seperate the fronts by 3-4 setors (with only 2 CVs each side, too), and thus confing all air combat on a single front into single thick furballs in the 1 sector-long divided area in the "arm pits" where the mountains end and meet the ocean.

IMO Trinity is a fine map when there are enough of players on. A few years ago. When there were much more players on.(pre arena split) It was great. I enjoyed it too. But currently, the number of players on simply doesnt support an overall good player experience for the most people. At least not in its current form.

Given the current numbers of players on Trinity would need to be modified and opened up more. Such modifications should/would include. Islands in the middle of each of the oceans, a knocking down one more flight path in each of the mountains. As well as a return to the zone base system we had before (and I still prefer over our current system)
