There's a recent update to the "Who's Who In Power Supplies" over on Tom's Hardware:

Good article.

Unfortunately it doesn't tell which OEMs are worth buying and which aren't.

Some that are good (from my experience, your mileage may vary):
Seasonic
Channel Well
FSP
HEC
Seventeam

All manufacturers have a 'cheap' line they build for others.  The buyer specs the supply and bids it out.  Even Seasonic makes some really cheap supplies, but they do not put their name on them.

Just remember the old adage: There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch (TANSTAAFL):

...
How do you identify a bad power supply before buying it?

Extremely high wattage claims at comparatively low prices are suspicious. There are simply no decent 750 W power supplies for $50. For every product class based on performance and features, there must be a minimum price. When a product is significantly below that price, be cautious. You can get a "400 W PSU" for $20, and such fire hazards are installed in budget PCs every day by unscrupulous companies that know exactly the risk they're handing off to buyers

Here's another up-to-date list of the subject. In my case it was more up-to-date:

I agree with bino here, maybe we should work out a dollar to watt quality ratio for the users here to follow?
