Glad your sons doing good, my unit lost a Soldier who was an amputee early on in deployment just recently after being back for 6 months.
I'm sorry to hear that, may he RIP. Inter service rivalry has a long and glorious history. Its fun and its to be enjoyed. Most Americans are proud of each and every one of you guys. Uniforms and emblems don't keep the wolves away from the door. The warrior does. Luckily for us in America we have many types of warriors. Some more specialized and better trained in certain areas. However every one of you guys are a warrior. It doesn't matter if standing guard at a FOB, patrolling on foot or in a Humvee, kicking in the door of a known enemy lair, making a gun or bomb run in an A-10 or F-16, or flying your Blackhawk med evac in to an area to extract a wounded comrade. Even the guys that go through hostile areas to deliver the supplies needed by those who normally do the fighting. All you guys are all warriors. All of you deserve respect.
By the way I get it too. I'm a 16 year Air Force Vet. My two oldest sons joined the Army and both went to Iraq. When they came home for the longest time I assumed POG was an Iraqi word for father.
