We Internet pilots think we're hard
« on: February 09, 2013, 05:44:49 PM »
These Vietnam chopper pilots are absolutely balls to the wall CRAZY.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qk8XF7TvPq4

Two Huey's recieve reports that a unit engaged on the HCM Trail is pinned. 100 men stuck getting assaulted by what could amount to the entire VC NVA contingent in the region.

Using the choppers rotor blades. They chop an LZ into the undergrowth and make no less than 7 trips to rescue the unit from certain death.

It's been my experience that while dustoffs are super brave, the gunship guys are absolutely bughouse crazy...even out of the
cockpit.

Anybody that thinks they're hard because they are an internet pilot probably needs to go outside for some fresh air.  :lol

My uncle flew medivac choppers in Vietnam. I've never heard him talk about it. He did 2 tours.
