My wife bought me a new gun for my birthday. Granted I had to sell my old gun to recover some of the costs but I am still excited 



It's a Browning 725 sporting with 32" barrels.

The new gun is replacing my Browning Citori white lightning with 28" barrels,

The 725 isn't quite as "pretty" as the white lightning but who couldn't use an extra 4 inches on their barrel?

I can see going to longer barrels for extended trap and goose hunting, but see no benefit to clays or hunting in general over a 28" gun. Certainly makes the gun less handy and harder to swing for crossing targets.

I shoot sporting clays (Beretta O/U) with 32"BBLS  I actually like the extra long sight plane, and i know that the longer barrel gives me better follow through on crossing targets. Mine is a 1 5/8 drop at the comb, and 2 1/2 drop at the heel...... fits me like a glove. Shot my friends Kreighoff the other day...oh my....just beautiful. His are set up with "reverse" triggers.

I save my Browning Citori (28"bbl) as a field gun.

Hey Pewter really nice gun sir.....Congratulations  , Whats the length of pull on that bad boy?  Browning makes spacers should you need to lengthen it (just an fyi, i needed to on my Citori.) If you need them, shoot me a PM, might be able to get you a deal on them.

I am in the market for a trap gun, and I don't want to break the bank. I am a novice for sure and will probably shoot 6-10 times a year will my in-laws.

I really wanted an over-under, but they seem to be insanely expensive and can't justify the cost for the amount of use.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Browning.  The best there is.   

I own four Browning firearms.  Buckmark pistol in .22 rimfire, Hi-Power in 9mm Para, Gold Uplander shotgun in 12ga, and an A-Bolt in 7mm-08.  There are none higher.

I need to get more 'sophisticated' with my gun collection.  Currently, I have no shotguns I could take to a gentleman's skeet shoot. 

Blasting with an 870 is still fun though.

I own one shotgun - Beretta AL391, 3", 26" barrel.  I use this gun for every kind of hunting and skeet shooting.  This is probably the best all around gun I have ever shot.  It's been used as a boat paddle, been dropped in knee deep water several times, gotten dirty in a dove field, and this thing just keeps hulling out shells, never jams.  All around great gun.  Not to mention I've had it for about 8 years. 

That being said, one of these days I'm going to get me an O/U for trap and maybe take it dove hunting.  Always wanted a Citori, but never could afford it.

Ahh heck, i still take my 20yrold Mossberg 500 out on the course from time to time ....and still outshoot some of the pretty guns, heck i get guys asking me from time to time to give it a try  

Its by far my favorite gun....dad got it for me when i was 12yrs old, and ive used it every hunting season since......

This gun is about at the top of what I can justify spending on a hobby.  Started out shooting a $ 400 semi auto from walmart.  It is supposed to ship out on Monday so I should have it by next weekend. Ill post pics when it arrives.  Gonna get some U2 Muller chokes for it also.
