It would be nice to have an indicator for GVers that told them if they'd be able to get a landing or not.  Just a yes/no indication, not something telling them how far away the nearest enemy was.

I can already think of several ways of abusing such an indicator...  :old:

Honestly, I think both you and the high ranker spent way too much time worrying about it. :aok

Too bad you didn't see the jeep. You could've got another kill with your pintle gun before landing!

You got to consider why YOU play the game. Is it to get your name in lights? IS it for fun? Did you have more fun fighting or driving 20 mins to get a ditch?

I never assume I will land safely unless I'm on the base.  Sneaky SOBs are always lurking where they shouldn't be.  :D  He was probably intent on ruining your landing, but not by just being there.  He probably assessed it and figured a jeep was the only thing that would catch you in time so he planned on speeding in, taking out your top gun, and driving in circles to stay away from your turret while he worked on getting you tracked.

Keep driving away and do periodic stops to see if you hear him.  If you are not hearing him, do some more start / stops to see if you can catch him in movement.  Then finally sit somewhere and go get a few beers and wait in silence.  If landing the kills is that important, have the patience to wait him out.

Either way, when you engage ion the ground game, be ready to drive a really long way away if necessary.  Definately can out fox a jeep that in intent to keep you from landing.  Actually can be a fun cat and mouse game.  I have nailed M18s before hiding in good areas waiting for that exposure shot.  LOL!  Just part of the game.

Really this is what you tank guys come up with?
When I die bury me in a P38.

I watch day after day, week after week, tour after tour, the Bishops and Rooks take bases and win maps while the Knights stand there with their thumbs stuck in their butts. It's just pathetic!

A guy to remain nameless PM'd  me the other night until I finally squelched him, he had dove in with his jug, turn on me as I was heading towards him and opened up with guns a blazing, I usually don't HO but when guys wanna play like that sometimes you ablige, happened to be in a K4 and needless to say he didn't survive the 30mm, looked up his score wondering who he was and saw his score was clean no deaths, multiple kills.

Also tried to vulch me on take off later so I will have to assume is method of getting kills for his prized score is well, timid :)

Score potatos can be alittle edgy/high strung at times , makes you wonder if they even enjoy the game.

There is something seriously flawed in the gv game part if people can regularly land 18+ kills. It can only mean that someone found a way to game the game.
