Wondering why the meteorite was captured on so many dashboard cams only have to watch this video of driving in Russia.

I scan liveleak.com all of the time and there are tons of Russian dashcam videos uploaded there.  Apparently auto insurance scams are a huge problem there (as well as drunks) and many have dashcams for evidence purposes.

I have a GoPro2 dashcam in my car.  Hopefully I will catch a meteorite on video one of these days.
