We could at least have formations available when taking off from land bases.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

It has one of them SAP bomb thingies.

I've also in all honestly never used a SAP in AH yet.  Plenty of GP, HC and AP though.  Any thoughts or tips on using them?

I'm usually the only person wobbling about in a Kate attacking a base, so until I practice offline I can't vouch for the efficacy of the 800kg SAP round, except to say that in a hot zone, a couple of flights are usually all that's necessary to drop a SB, however you need to hit the target to get maximum effect. I know that sounds oxymoronic, but a dead-on hit generates more damage points than one would expect, where a very close splash delivers less than expected.

I suspect I only need a couple of flights due to other people damaging the SB before, during and after my flights.

Not what I had in mind, but you are getting warmer.

I think the formations would be workable, now that the drones don't form up until you'd be well off the deck and fall into line as soon as you drop your gear on the landing approach. I know one of the reasons in the olden days that we didn't have CV formations was that the drones weren't so well behaved once upon a time.

Imagine the joy of a SB gunner popping a formation.
