I know the reason for it, funny you thought it was because to many people wanted to get more kills in a combat game  :rofl

Either way it still doesn't work, anytime I was on the sides were still massively unbalanced.

a couple of years ago when it was only an hour to switch, I would switch at will to whichever country I thought I could get the most kills.  that was it, there was no, I am gonna help the low side or whatever.  I knew many players who did this.  it was pretty cool up until when the vtards started rolling bases late at night.  then all of a sudden you would see the bishop side have more numbers and the players I was with would now be with the vtards rolling bases.  that is when the game switched to furballing to just rolling bases.  vtards would roll maps like crazy.

So in the spirit of the individual nature of human kind you simply reckoned that if you were doing it for that reason then everyone else was??  :D I know when I switched it usually consisted of trying to up of a capped field for most of the night, not to join the capping in the spirit of kills.

+1 to OP.

I'm always looking for Pickup Missions, so I would be switching more often to the country running the most Pickup Missions at the time.  For me there is nothing more fun than flying with 20 or 30 other players in formations of bombers and escort fighters, or in GV squads coming in behind them to clean up and take a base!

I'm 100 percent behind RedBull on reducing the 12-hour restriction.
While I didn't do it very often, one of the fun things I used to do
in game was to swap over to the Bishop or Knight side and
fly with guys who I'd only flown against over the years.
This 12-hour restriction pretty much kills off any option
of doin' that as I'm then unable to hook up with any of
my squadmates for the rest of the day, unless they too
swap countries.
(Takes off shoe and bashes it on computer desk.)  I -DEMAND-
the 12-hour restriction be reduced to 2 hours.  :D

What did it used to be...60 minutes was it? Go back to that. 12 hours benefits nobody.

+1 for me too.

I don't understand the 12 hour country change rule, if someone has a rational explanation about it, I'm all ears.

you mean one that is acceptable to you?  this has been beat to death more than manawar.

No, I was gently referring to the 'SPIEZ' excuse to limit country switch time. Fortunately, I haven't seen any lunacy of that type just yet.

Truthfully, it wouldn't bother me if it went back to 1 hour, but there was a reason why it was brought up to 12.  The EXACT reason seems to be over my head, though I've heard many.  None seem to warrant 12 hours as I have not seen any hard evidence to support it.  At the very least, dropping it down to 6 hours would be great though. :aok

+1 for the decrease of time between switches.

the exact reason was "because that's how it was before" then something like "we just didnt change it before".

I dont remember exactly but I think when I joined the game about 7 years ago it was more than 60 minutes then it switched to 60 then now it's 12 hours.
