Minsi III

[Greebo]

This is my skin of Commander David McCampbell's F6F-5 Hellcat "Minsi III". As commander of USS Essex's Air Group 15 McCampbell scored 34 kills between April and November 1944 making him the top scoring USN ace. Air Group 15 was also the most successful USN group of the war in terms of enemy planes and ships destroyed. The skin is shown as the aircraft would have looked on October 24th when he shot down nine aircraft in a single sortie, an action which earned him the Congressional Medal of Honour.
