Future Soviet planesets...
« on: March 07, 2013, 07:58:58 PM »
Here's what I can think of in my head that's currently missing in this game:

early war
lagg 3
mig 3
yak 1

mid war
yak 7B
yak 9D or M

late war
yak 3

bombers
pe 2
tu 2
il 4

Well, we already have two of the planes you listed.  I guess BOOM! wish granted on the Yak-9U and Yak-9T.

Would be cool to have a Yak-3 in a French Normandie-Nieman squadron skin.

An La-5 would also be nice.

No, not the La-5FN which we already have.

I'm not a huge fan of the Russian planes. I have tried them a few times and found that they are not super easy to fly. I do however like the look of the mig 3.

If I can throw mine into the mix, mig 1.

:headscratch:  Seriously?  The La7 is one of the most used planes in the game and it certainly is not because it was a legend like the P51D.  It is certainly an easy mode plane.  Also, the Yak 9U is a fine plane as well, the sad thing is it has just a handful of ammo to through at the enemy otherwise it is one of the best handling fighters in the game.

I also used to think the LA's and Yaks were dumb and not worth flying.........I was wrong..... :lol

I dont personally find La's very fun to fly, but they are really good at what they do.  Yaks are a lot of fun to fly, but you are right about the ammo load.

It would be easy I would think to add the Russian modified version of the P39.  I still wonder how they did so well with them.

Russians have always built fine aircraft.  Submarines... not so much.

Just update the Yak 9's we already have before any new toys. But if they can release a Yak 3 at the same time would be sweet.  :x

The La7 is a murdering machine, the closest thing to an unperked perkplane in the game. If it had slightly better guns and longer range it would definitely be C-Hog type perk worthy.

The La5FN is a completely different airplane, and challenging compared to the La7... worthy of its eny. Fly it sometime.

which one?  7 or 5? I kill quite a few 109s in both 5 and 7, and will take a 7 up against anyone. There are some K4 sticks that will get my 7, but they're a rare breed.

you wanna go?  :)
