It's not limited to a certain plane type. I got credited with 24 kills for shooting down a B-17 in a P-47D-40.

Fortunately, it's very rare and nothing you can trigger deliberately.

So Zoney, Do you think you might want to express an apology to switch?  A noob that perhaps just tried AH for the first time and perhaps comes away from his experience with the thought that the game is perhaps full of bugs, can’t even count kills correctly???

Nope.  I brought up something that looks fishy.  My intention was awareness of whatever the situation is.  We still don't actually know what happened.  Bug, maybe, maybe not.  If it turns out it was a bug, great, but I will do the same thing again when I see something that don't look right.
