VHS was a old recording media, that was most excellant and had distortion at the beginning of film or if you rewinded and paused certain scenes in films Cassettes were used to record music and you could hold a whole album on one Both of the above were excellent when they jammed and unwound in device The above is for those who are unsure of terminology for archaic entertainment media of the 1970's and 1980's

All True.. But in Ye Old Cave Man days, like the 80's, Video tape was the ONLY Media to record and store..My old tapes have always been in the shade, cool and dry, so they have survived well.. And I still have a Top of the line VCR, that has clear Frame by Frame.. Get what ya pay for..Analog, still has some advantages..
