Stupid question how do I post a image?

This is the first forum I have ever really used. Silly when I have been using a computer for year.

I know how to attach a image but how do I post a image so it just come up on the post. I know there is a button at the top which brings some sort of text but I do not know what to do next?????

Can some one enlighten me?

If you go to the "HELP" tab (Top of the page just below your "Hello HornetUK" title box) then select the "posting" there is further information including what the tags do and some examples of how to use them - Scroll down to  "Attachments" after clicking the link below

Also read the section on "Tags and Nesting (for beginners)" as it will help you learn a bit more.
If your ISP gives you some web space you can upload the images there and then you can then post the URL to the image file between the img tags.
The images shown on the posts here are not like when you attach the actual image file to an email, they are links to the image file.

e.g. an image from my own webspace is just the link to where the file is and presto! the image shows:
