There has been much chastising on the Bish country channel over the repeated attempts by some to retake it... "The town is white flagged and they aren't defending it!" You think?

The night before I witnessed some half-hearted recapture attempts by the Bish. And was repeatedly going  :bhead by all the Knight yells for "HELP 52", even some guys trying to convince us how "important" it is to hold that base ...

Most people have a hard time understanding the "bigger picture" of what's going on in-game.

Of course you want to hold 52, it obviously holds a distinct advantage being surrounded like that  :rofl

Funny though this situation is, there is something very wrong with a strat system that lets it happen.

Exactly. Usually the industrial center of any country should be the prime target of any offensive thrusts, instead of avoiding the vicinity at all costs.
Imagine the strats had not moved away - how utmost important it would be for the bish to recapture the ground, and how important for the nits to hold it at all costs. What a great way to focus the action instead of grabbing bases randomly all over the map that could be

Yea was a nice litte break from fighting the continuous horde the Bish seem to move in nowadays.
Now that's not necessarily fair we all don't horde and since some number of us like the red dar vs the green, we can very easily find ourselves being "horded". There seems to be more a larger number on all sides that prefer the "attack" portion over the "defend" portion so every country has a handful of players that feel the others are always hording.  :salute
And I agree on 52 even this morning there was much discussion over taking it because "no one is upping"  :bhead

That's exactly why the strats shouldn't move.  Hold a safe perimeter around your strats or your country suffers the consequences  :rock

I don't know much about the strat system in AW, but wasnt a base dependant on the drone c47s for resupply? And why did they stop using that method?
Fear? You bet your life...but that all leaves you as you reach combat. Then there's a sense of great excitement, a thrill you can't duplicate anywhere...it's actually fun. Yes, I think it is the most exciting fun in the world. — Lt. Col. Robert B. "Westy" Westbrook, USAAF 6/<--lol@mod

It's not only c47's, lvts and m3's that can supply a base. The key, in this case, is probably killing either the convoy of supply trucks or the tugboat with supply barges that are towed in from the sea - whichever the base receives.

If you really want to keep the base 'down' then killing those is probably a must. Problem is they seem worth near zero points. Why would anyone fly to an enemy base and use up their precious amo, which they were saving to vulch, on the programs 'auto supply vehicles.'

How does this stuff go? Suppose that every supply convoy is entirely destroyed, will the base repair at all? How much does destroying one truck or barge slow the re-upping of a base, or a component of a base?

Possible solution, knowledge of how trucks/barges affect stuff, and making them worth more points! Achievement?
