North Korea does not possess the ability to deliver any of the half dozen nuclear devises they supposedly have.  The best they can do with their rockets and missiles is use them conventionally.

Which is in itself no laughing matter.

Apparently the Power Behind The Throne is the Skeletaur half-bald guy who always stands / walks a couple of steps behind Kim Jong Un - was Kim Jong Il's brother-in-law.

Maybe, but not for the dog feasting remark..... it would have to not be true for it to be a slur.....

it's a part of their diet, it's a fact.

No, it's for the inevitable political discussion that I see coming...

I'm glad so many people find the NK military so comical.

No, wait, I'm not...

My apologies, in that case.

Normally Im the guy everyone hates on because I argue that the US doesn't take its enemies seriously.

But this time I am clearly aligned with the US.

Look, I hope as much as the next guy that this is all bluster. In fact, I suspect this particular round of noise is actually aimed at China, which for the first time has co-sponsored sanctions. They've clearly put NK's nose out of joint, since the Chinese are the only ones who can really make sanctions bite. Worse for the NKs is the fact China has now made clear to the DPRK that they, the Chinese, see the issue as multilateral, even though NK has always wanted to play the bilateral game with the US. The Chinese have therefore also made clear it is no longer content to allpw NK to go round and round on the "we make threats and the US gives us free s*** ride.

My fear is that the DPRK leadership, whoever that is, is in fact irrational, a bunch of genuine, fratricidal nutbars who actually believe their own BS. Worse, they may actually think that, no longer able to gouge free s*** from the US, hey may try to gouge it out of China by triggering real-live hostilities across the DMZ.

If things really do kick off, they've got a lot of good old fashioned "point and shout bang!" delivery systems not far from Seoul. Enough to make a hell of a mess.

This brings into the colonials obssesion about China buying up all the US debt :)

China is now locked into the Capitalist system :rofl

It has to impose sanctions because it will suffer economically if the US decides to pull the financial rug from under it :rofl

It a tried and tested technique used in 1945 with the Marshall plan, Greece is a european example of said technique, upto the 1980's they were Communist,Nationalists and riding donkeys :rofl

In the 90's US capital from the world bank built roads and subsidised the buying of BMWs instead of donkeys, now they are stuck in the 21st century and cannot turn back :rofl

Oh North Korea, grow up and fly a cartoon typhoon :old:

Anyone noticing that NK has hit the media hard the same time as government has started announcing forced cutbacks?
