Honestly, I don't see him having the character to even try.

That is harsh. Again, my point overlooked because of my reputation. That's the bad part about notoriety.

And all of this amongst
honor threads for various KN milestones where FSO participants outside your squadron offer further congrats.

I believe you are confusing squadrons.

A friend reminded me of an old saying passed onto me by my family that I should heed.

'If you ain't got nuthin' nice to say about someone or something then it's best not to say
anything, at all. Unless you're suing them. And leave the talkin' to yer lawyer.'

(The advice was free and worth passing on. Advice is one of things you can give
and still keep - if you're wise.)

Had a busy day today.

Every player has recourse in the event of a break down, real or perceived, when an event does not go the way they think it should or for any other ailment regarding the execution of an event.

Posting a public diatribe about it is not one of the options.  You can address it with the lead CM or his CO, or both.  If you are not getting satisfaction, you can address it with me.  Not like what I have to say?  Address it with HiTech.  I can be reached any number of ways, as can HiTech.  Do not jump over me though as Hitech will send you right back to me.  We respect each other.

It is called a chain of command and it works.

The time and place for these discussions is not during the event.  It is not via a public diatribe on a bulletin board.  It is an email, PM, phone call, or any mixture of the three.  This helps to maintain focus and not get off point, as this very thread has demonstrated how it can happen.

If you chose to not use the tools provided, it is your choice, but it will not be viewed as a favorable choice.  Take that to the bank.

Onward....

For the benefit of everyone here.  Starting a question with the words, "Are you saying...." is a leading question which has no other intent than to put words in someones mouth.  If you fail to understand how something is presented to you, then ask for further clarification.  Perfectly acceptable to do so as we all know a simple matter of a perspective shift and what was said could take on a very different light.

I will not address what is said in a private forum and has been taken out of context by players who are not supposed to be privy to said forum.  Any acts of impropriety have always been dealt with swiftly.  I am not aware of anyone currently on the CM team who has shared any private communication.  That is all I will say on this matter, as there is nothing left to say.

CM's have earned the right to govern the events as they see fit.  They are under a magnifying glass.  Not only the community, but HTC also watches them.  If anyone choses to be disruptive in an event, then you have also made the choice to be ejected from said event.  If this is repeated, then suspension is absolutely the correct thing to do.

Why have they earned it?  By the mere fact of all the personal time they have put forth to organize, design, and implement events for everyone in the game.  By that sole token, they are due respect, unless they act in a manner where they do not deserve it.  At that point, we (HTC) get involved and take care of it.  It has happened.  It is sad when it does.

At this moment, we (HTC) back the CM's and the decisions made one hundred percent.  If any of you have a grievance, then use the chain of command.  Anything said in this thread is just noise, chest thumping, flag waving and does not warrant any action than what I have already given.

If you really want to get something resolved, then do what I have said.  If you are just wanting to stir the pot, then move along.

P.S. If you think I am addressing any grievances in this post, then you are sadly mistaken.  I do not consider bulletin board diatribes "grievances".

So are you saying that all problems should be handled through PM?

If we handled it through seemingly "private" emails/PMs can they be used to suspend us?

I believe I offered a couple of methods to deal with issues, along with a chain to follow for resolution.  Your, "so you are saying" appears to be trying its best to dilute the possible paths of resolution.

What part did you not understand?

Suspended from what?

As general statement, you could be banned or suspended from anything should you chose to act in an inappropriate manner.  Act that way in a bar, and they throw you out.  Restaurant, same thing.  Pretty much any public venue applies.

Can some private correspondence be used to ban people from either the board or the AH event known as FSO?

If the correspondence is inappropriate, then yes it can.  The details of how that happens is not defined in this context.
