New Rudder and Clean Computer room
« on: April 14, 2013, 12:36:53 AM »
Last Wednesday my Rudder pedals gave up the ghost. I've been calibrating and recalibrating. Heck I even switched operating systems at one time. Finally I figured it had to be the rudder pedals. As soon as I used them my plane would become uncontrollable. It would act like it was on a high wire, tilt one way then the other and finally slam to mother virtual earth.

I took it apart and the whole thing just fell apart. I was thinking of repairing it but then said this would take me a month. Then there was an amazing amount of dirt inside the housing. Unreal! I bought some new ones from Amazon and decided to clean the dead out from under my desk. It was horrid! Also my daughter was coming over and wanted me to help with her taxes. There was no room on the desk. It was stacked with all kinds of papers, computer parts, and cds. I dreaded it. But 4 hours later I finish vacuuming and I have a clean computer room.

Rudder pedals and you get a close up of the floor. What a difference. Those are so smooth.

Had a set for a few weeks one of the wires got caught up in the pedals and snapped binned them, big disappointment hope you have better luck with these  :salute

I've seen them around $118 but I paid about $128 because the place that had them for $118 wanted major bucks to get them to me in two days.

Hey Fugi,
Does your throttle and stick slide out on rails like the keyboard does? That looks like a slick setup.

It is articulated. It comes out AND up so that it sits at the same level as the keyboard tray.
