Confused about CH products

I got these from a pawn shop for $20

It looks identical to the picture.
I do not know how old they are or really anything about them.

I tried setting it up in AH and the yoke seems to work fine but I can not figure out how to set up the pedals.  I am not certain the pedals are made for a flight sim.  They do not slide, they independently press like pedals in a car.  I can seem to only set up one pedal axis for yaw control.

Are these even going to be relevent for AH, or are they way to old to function properly? can I even tell?  And how on earth would I set them up if they do work.

They should slide as well as pivot. Check to make sure the pedal locks are not in place. The pedal locks would be in the groove in front of the pedal. They keep the pedals from sliding so they can be used in driving sims.

Those look like they don't slide. There's been a model with just the pivot. IIRC there was a small slider switch in front of the bottom part for "car" and "plane". You can use them for rudder without problems. In fact, not all real aeroplane rudder pedals go back and forth, some act more like those on the picture, operating with ankle movements. -When used as a rudder pedal, make sure that the pedals are configured as one axis only. The aforementioned slider switch may help, also look in the Windows calibration for a tick box about one or two axis functionality.

Awww, I love you Zack! I may be wrong about those peddles, but I know for sure CH has made ones that only rock, not roll. Err... slide.

As for my bear, notice that he's sitting on his aperture to be safe from Pipz and his likes. He's also having a beer after another, the brand of the beer being "Karhu" which is bear in Finnish.

Those were the old CH Pedals, not the Pro Pedals and were discontinued way back in 1999.

This is the older style. The base is different. The circle shows the "car" mode, "plane" mode switch.

There was a blank area that had car/plane mode but it was covered over leading me to believe they wouldnt slide. they do, I had no idea it had slide locks.

i cant seem to make my feet precise enough to do what I can with a twisty, and the yoke makes every action feel like its in slow motion.  I've played for about three hours after FINALLY figuriing out how to set it up and I'm worse than a 2 weeker.

Edit: I can see how using a yoke can be alot more fun while flying a bomber.  It feels more genuine, each action more deliberate,  but there is a huge amount of travel that I can not seem to compensate for compared with my sidewinder precision pro. (The only stick I have ever used)

The sticker at the base says "pro pedals"  Maybe I found something old and crappy?  I'm really not sure what I have, and having logged probably over a thousand hours on the same and only stick, have I built habits that are hard to break?  or ...well I'm not sure really

I see what you mean by the yoke being in the way.  It seriously gets in the way of my current setup (I am currently reaching around it to type )

I can't get anywhere with a twisty stick but I find my ch pedals give me some ability to point my nose where I want.  I'm always accidentally twisting and when I try to twist on purpose I get a bobbing PIO. I tried scaling etc. but I just don't have the knack. The control yoke is kinda cute but mine always suffered from the absence of a firm center.  Flying instrument approaches in an old simulator called on top, you kept having to wiggle it with your eye on the VSI to figure out where neutral was.
