Ink, I wish it wasn't true... but it is. Fine looking car, decent horsepower, turns like a bathtub.

 sorry bud but

I drove a Challenger for many years  :aok

I didn't drive it like some pansy I beat that car, from NH to Cali and back all over the East coast....

they were designed for road racing... have massive Torsion Bars, they stick great to the road....they handle far better then you give them credit for......I know I drove and beat the hell out of one.

how many Challengers have you drove? or been in?

are they a Ferrari durr no....but to say they handle "bad" or like a "Bathtub" is wrong.

Lotus Elise not street legal?

If I had my choice it would have to be a Vanquish, maybe a Lotus Exige, and a 2004 blue and black 954 fireblade

The Elise is street legal.

Sorry, I forgot that it doesn't quote the original quote.  It wasn't meant for you. :)

I own a Challenger R/T with sport suspension and front strut tower brace.  I speak from experience.

It doesn't turn like a bath tub.  It also has  Performance Steering with variable displacement pump and Track pack.

I've owned a Z28 and a Trans Am in the past.  It handles better, is more comfortable (not squished in against the door)
and also is faster then the Camaro SS with 426 HP....I know form personal experience.  The Camaro is a nice small auto that is
difficult to see out of.  If it's your cup of tea it's fine.....no argument there.

Koenigsegg are overrated. Get a Porsche Carrera GT.

Now i'm not much of a fan for Dodge cars, but the Challenger isn't a boat when it comes to handling. If any car is a boat with handling, its the El Camino. But hey, I don't care for Dodge/Chevy cars, all I want is a Ford Mustang boss 302. If I cant get that in my lifetime, i'm going to go for a '73 Ford Capri 3100. The Capri was supposedly going to take on the BMW's of the time at the pro tracks in the EU region.

Another really awesome car that I think should go on my list is the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34. The R34 could outrun the pigs all day and still look good doing it. Shame its not street legal here in the U.S. but next year the GT-R R32 is going to be street legal (From what iv'e been told.) Its funny though, the R32 is just slightly under powered compared to the R34.

 The 73 capri was a 2600 not a 3100,it was also available with a 2 liter 4!

I had 1 for several years,it was a pretty good handling car for it's day. I went and test drove the RX7 when it first came out, thinking I might replace the capri but after taking an onramp at speed I decided it wasn't nearly as good as the old capri!

I really liked that car, even if it did get a little floaty when you pushed it to triple digits.

I was presented a mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 twin turbo as a rolling basket case and just got it started a couple of hours ago.

In this case "expensive" is applied to the amount of time consumed by putting this thing together and I still have a bit to go.

It was taken apart so completely that even the wiper blade springs were removed and I had to source even the dowels between the heads and block as well as the bellhousing dowels.

I got lucky and found a fuel pump check connector in the engine compartment and was able to simply connect it to battery positive to pump all 12 gallons of 5 year old fuel into gas cans and it was filtered by the car........clean and didn't smell as bad as I expected.

I tried the gas in the lawn mower and it ran great so the old gas went into the station wagon along with 4 gallons of high test............runs great.

The last hurdle in starting it was finding it had a top of the line clifford alarm system integrated into the EMS harness way up in the dash so I decided to try to work with it rather than bypass it.

When I took apart the key fob to replace the 7 year old battery I found surface mount integrated circuit chips and the battery clip rattling around in the case so it was time to fire up the hakko 471 desoldering station to clean it up and get to work remounting components.

Amazingly, it unlocked the doors and enabled injection and the engine started right away despite having been completely disassembled and sitting in boxes for 5 years.

I bill $168 per labor hour for my time and this car would have cost a fortune to put together properly.

Lucky it's mine.......or unlucky.

Don't drag race your VR-4......it will come out of the hole great many times......at the expense of driveline parts.

Right after I got it started and was striking muscle poses around the house, my sister called telling me her land rover defender had just arrived from Monrovia, Liberia........and I have a dyno dynamics twin retarder 2200hp dyno to rebuild next week and a car to prep. for another run at 300mph in a few weeks, two guitars for sale, two chorme drum sets for sale, two sweet snares for sale.....etc.

It's like baseball......lots of waiting around and suddenly a frenzied burst of activity.

Lots of hugely expensive supercars that I would like but this is something a little different
