I can relate. I was behind the tech curve for quite some time. Even now, I figure I'm middleish. I disabled lots of settings to just stay in the 20-30 frame rate area, avoiding flames, etc. But I never expected HTC to undo anything that wasn't catastophic across the entire community.

It was a nightmare for me, I was in a fight when the clouds spawned in. Suddenly, I've collided with someone they are PMing me calling me a HOer (never even saw them), can't find the guy I was fighting (assumed he discoed), had to leave the fight because I can't even squeeze 25  frames from my computer with all the settings off.

If the clouds are more spread out the issue isn't as bad, I can actually run with a decent 30 FPS with some settings on. Over TT, it becomes unbearable every time I look up.

Lucky you. I can't wven disable clouds and stuff. Ihave to ask over 200if the clouds plate over TT

Turn off the bump mapping for the clouds; that will help. If you don't have the option to turn off bump mapping, then your video card can't do it and the effect is already disabled. Perhaps your system is barely acceptible for AH now, sorry to say.

It's weird how computers work.  I have a 3 year old PC and an ancient video card (GeForce 9600GT) and can play with everything maxed out except for self shadow.  The new clouds only dropped me down to 45-55 fps at their thickest, yet fellas with MUCH better systems than me had problems.  It's just weird how that works out.  I turn off every background process that I know I can before I play though (from 65 down to 45 processes Windows 7).

I have a 7 year old computer with a 5 year old GeForce 8500GT. I'll have to look into if the two cards are compatible and upgrade if possible. For the time being it beats spending 2G on a whole new system.
