Recognizing Achievements
« on: April 20, 2013, 05:38:09 PM »
Not that I care about achievements I've never even looked them up, but seems to me that there should be some recognition of those who gain lots of them on the website. We list the rankings and winners of each category, in each arena every month, so shouldn't we do the same for those who chase achievements?  Perhaps most achievements earned in the month or list the top 10 achievers or whatever.  Even if there was a list under scores and stats page for top 50 achievers, might keep em happy and feel they are not second class players to those who chase ratios and rank.

Majority of the players here didn't want the achievements in the first place.

While in game. Hit esc, achievements, type in the name of whatever person, and wala, you can see what their achievements are.

You can see who has the most achievements by how many stars they have, Walleye being a good example with 3 stars.

So just type Walleye and see all the purdy colors.

Other than that, having this on the site I see few looking at.

Just my opinion.

I don't see the achievements as anythign like score, and for me it makes no sense to present them as such like "top 10 achievers of the month" on the website.

However, I would like to see them on the website as stats. I know I can check and individual players achievements in game, but what about looking for certain achievements? For example I would like to know if any (and if yes, how many) players did get the "4 B-29s in one sortie" achievement yet. There is currently no way to look for that.

Since achivements are the new de-facto standard for comparing one's self against another in today's video gaming world; why the heck not?   :aok
