Salvo all bombs
« on: April 21, 2013, 05:52:21 PM »
When I fly the mossie 16, I wish I could drop all the bombs, not just the selected ones
so my wish is when I set salvo 6, I will drop 6, not just 4 or 2 depending on the area I have selected
this also should work for salvos like 3 or 5, with it preferancing the bombs that are selected...

Makes sense.  I think there could be/should be a function that allows for a gross command to drop ordnance.  Me think the A20, Mossi B Mk 16, Ju88, and any other bomber that has both wing and bomb bay mounted bombs available should be able to do this.

When I would destroy hangers in a mossie 16 I would simply use the 4,000lb cookie, but now that it is an HC bomb, I have to take the 500lb bombs....

If your stick has programming features then you should just program the commands as a macro.  It would be nice if AH had in-game macros that would allow you to program more advanced commands into your stick profile.

I would wholeheartedly support that as well.  I love what I can do with the x52 programmer software.  I feel bad for people who can't do similar things.

Global hotkey to drop all external stores.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

Kind of off topic, but I'm just getting around to learning the SST and looking for a couple of ideas on stick setup. Right now I have D (on the throttle) set to WEP, E (also throttle) set to Vox, the clutch set to range, clutch slider set to brakes, the HAT on the throttle to trim and the rear roller set to flaps. I have a few other things set up (i.e. landing gear, autopilot etc...), but I'm looking for some outside perspective.

To the OP:
It's easy with only that many bombs:
drop, drop, drop, drop, backspace, drop, drop. Could get it all done in less than a second with very little prep.
Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life really are: You only
need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the
WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
