Please explain!!

Could someone please explain the following to his Lordship - The Grayclif?:

*How does the game determine who can ditch their plane and tower out without an enemy plane nearby getting awarded the kill, after numerous hits were made on the ditching plane?

This happened early this morning when I scored multiple hits on "Mike51" (member of the The Few squad) and whilst he was 1.0 - 1.5k away on the ground from me, towered out without me getting the proxy. The few (no pun intended) times I have found myself in a similar situation, the enemy always got the kill on me, even if they flew away past 6.0k.

I'm pretty sure that no matter how many hits you've gotten, if they ditch it doesn't count as a kill. I'd confirm that though

Simple!  Reqs to get a kill/assist from an enemy ditch:

1.  You put at least a single round into him (or he is inside 2.5K when exiting).
2.  He then (crash) lands his plane on the ground.
3.  He is closer to an enemy field than a friendly one (his perspective - dont forget about CVs).
4.  He exits flight before you do.

'Ditched' or 'captured' in planes?

It only depends on ownership of the closest base. If this is a friendly base you are in friendly territory and will always get a ditch. If the closest base is an enemy base, you are in hostile territory and you will get a 'captured', if an enemy is in proxy range at that time or has pinged you at any time before you went down, he will get a kill on you.

Note that CV task groups are regular bases for this purpose. Contrary to a common myth, the 'dar circles' have no influence.

I was in a Ki and put at least 10-20 rounds into him. He crash landed, and then towered out less than 1.5k from me on the ground, and yes. He was just off his base. Still. I have been in similar situations and the enemy always got the kill regardless

They didn't if you landed and exited flight without exploding in friendly territory.

I agree something needs to be addressed, and that being reading comprehension.

Ditched / captured.

If you stop successfully on the ground, and are not on a runway/taxiway you are considered to be one of the following, ditched or captured.

If the closest field (vehicle, carrier ,port or airfield ) to you is friendly you are considered ditched and a kill is NEVER awarded for a ditched aircraft.
 
If the closest field (vehicle, carrier ,port or airfield ) to you is ENEMY you are considered captured and a kill is awarded based on most damage , and if no damage was done  proximity.

I would agree with you.  I think most importantly we need to address taking this seriously.  I'd suggest a pencil and paper next to your computer so you can chalk up any kills you feel you have unfairly been denied.  Be sure and get all the details down so as to document a pattern.  Then I'd write a long e-mail to Skuzzy detailing your suffering in hopes he'll take it up the line to Hitech.  If your evidence is complete enough I'm sure that they will sit down immediately and recode things so that your kill deprivation can be corrected.

You might want to see if "The Sideswitcher" can support you with one of his statistical works as well.   I understand that because he's 'the sideswitcher' he might be suspect in his work, but overall I think historically he's not let his desire to abuse the game by jumping countries, interfere with the integrity of his statistical work.
