I live 20 minutes from Windsor, Ontario.   The contributions of the Canadians has been well documented.   The wife and I are usually in Windsor/Toronto about 5-6 times a year.   I also just had a meet up with Baitman.   He flew in in and I ended up picking him up at the airport and we ate at Slows in Detroit.   I drove him to his hotel and caught up until almost midnight about Geology of all things.

http://The first Four Canadians Killed Afghanistan was from a Laser guided Bomb From an American (im pretty shure f-18) Plane, They thought it was the Taliban, But Actually it was A Canadian Training Operation, My Fellow Cousin was Present at the time, He was not Injured..You Americans Kill Everything you see shooting, Just maybe make shure before you drop a bomb, make shure you know your not Bombing your Allies,..ALSO im not Dissing You in any way, for Example, The Longest  Kill shot From a Sniper was Canadian, From a  McMillan Tac-50 (C15) Long Range Sniper Weapon , Using Canadian Ammo,.which He Ran out of the Canadian made .50 caliber rounds, Trying to hit the taliban but they fell short...After A Marine Gave this Sniper American Made .50 caliber rounds for his tac-10...He was able to get the Longest Kill shot In history, Thanks to the American rounds, Not going to lie, You have the Best, Ammo, Best firepower, Best Weapons,...With out Americans, We would be ....f@$KED, So i salute you guys! and you should Give the Canadians one back, And Remember back On 9/11, September attacks On your Country, Well Some Canadains were in the towers on that tragic day, And died, I give your Country the Biggest Respect, And if us, two country's ever went to war....I will be hiding in my Basement  devil Because you guys, are to stong for us, So let us be friends  cheers

Where are you getting this information?  I didn't know Rub Furlong that well, he's with Edmonton City Police now, no longer with the PPCLI, but Aaran Perry and I are good friends, and worked together in the same company after he left the Forces as well.  Aaron was the record holder for longest shot for about 30 seconds, until Rob, the other sniper working the mountainside shot a guy 50 meters further than the target Aaron shot, who was manning a heavy MG on the back of a Taliban truck.  Neither of them ever mentioned anything to me about using "American" magic ammunition.  In fact, the company I worked for before working for a private military company used to supply a lot of things to the Canadian Forces, since we were one of only a handful of companies in the country with destructive device construction permits, as they relate to military weapons.  I can put you on the phone in about five seconds with the person who sold the CF Sniper units their 50 caliber ammunition - 750 grain AMAX rounds to be exact - from 2002 onwards to about 2011 or so, as he works for the division of said company that does military and law enforcement sales.

Also, as any precision rifle shooter, much less a trained sniper, would know - you can't just plunk in any old "new ammunition" into your rifle, and expect to be able to hit anything, much less targets at 2000+ meters.  You need to be zero'd with specific ammunition with the same velocity and projectile weight, as well as the projectile having the exact same composition and aerodynamic shape and properties.  The odds of the "American ammo" in your story being the same velocity, grain/weight, and bullet shape/profile, as the so called "Canadian manufactured" ammunition, is very unlikely, unless it was the same exact ammo from the same manufacturer.  The optics on the CF rifles wouldn't have been zero'd for this "new" ammo, and at extreme ranges like they were shooting, different ammo would have been detrimental, as opposed to saving the day.   Hell, Canadian Forces snipers are trained to even roll the round on the flat ground several times prior to slowly loading it into the magazine or chamber, in order for the powder/propellant to be evenly dispersed throughout the cartridge casing, in order to ensure the burn rate and hence velocity of their shots fired....it's THAT precise.  Just for interest sake, who is this "Canadian Manufacturer" of 50 caliber ammunition, as I've never heard of a company here that makes precision 50 cal rifle ammo to begin with.

Also, your story is that the Canadian ammo "wasn't reaching" the targets, yet the American ammo did?  That's crazy talk, even 709gr M2 Ball .50 call ammo will reach the ranges that the targets were at, it's a question of the precision they have once they arrive that is the question.  Stating that just shows you're ignorant about sniping, and shooting in general.

When you start making things like this up to support your story or position, you are crapping on the work that guys have done in the field for their comrades and their country.

Also, it was an F16 that dropped the 2 LGB's on the CF troops, and it was a mistake, everyone knows it, and they happen.  Nobody I've talked to who was there was happy about it, and a co-worker of mine lost his eye in that incident btw, but I think everyone realizes mistakes happen.  The USAF has more than atoned for that error by supporting Canadian and other coalition troops thousands upon thousands of times, saving god only knows how many lives while doing so.   Bringing up the blue on blue incident  the way you have is on par with making up stories about the sniping events, and should earn you a ban for all eternity from the internet IMO, but what can you do.

In addition to GMAN's post the OP should receive another lifetime interweb ban for his appalling spelling and grammar. Especially for saying "shure" :bhead

Maybe if Canada actually had more than 70 fighter aircraft that were usable for ground support you wouldn't have to rely on us.  Friendly fire happens, and it sucks.  Do you think anyone is happy about it?  Anyway, it is not like any internet tough-guy speech you give on here, a gaming forum is going to have any effect upon the situation.  If you are so pissed about the representation and the respect given to your armed forces why don't you join up?  None of us owe you anything.
