LCD-LED Monitor, Is this good for gaming
« on: April 27, 2013, 05:30:54 PM »
I purchased it for my guest room but never got it set up since my would be guests changed their plans. In fact it's never been plugged in. So do you think it's better than a regular LCD?

if t's got a better latency then its better for gaming.

one way to find out would be to plug both, display as clone, run aces high, and see which one displays the frames first. Its pretty obvious when they are side by side

What Noir said.

If latency makes no problem, a LED monitor often has better colour reproduction than LCD especially in the dark end. That depends on both the quality of the monitors in question and also on the backlight techniques used in the LED one.
