After playing now for a bit, players in the game rock.
« on: April 29, 2013, 10:25:23 AM »
Pat yourselves on the back m8s. I am into my 4th or 5th month now, I don't keep count obviously. What a blast its been. from downloading the game and navigating my way in this cartoon world of yours, to reading the forums from years ago to present, to today's battles anywhere in the game is just a blast to no end! Everyone is their own individual and actually some pilots bring interesting herritage in this game with some amazing skill levels, and attitudes. lol ! I am awed by the difficulty in flying a fighter or attack aircraft well enough to get a kill and love watching better pilots get their kills. Its a how did they do that moment for me as I love fighter encounters(dogfights anyone? I love that show).  The other gamers in here seem very skilled on every front. I am a new member of the Rowdy 1's and their worst pilot but I am tenacious and look forward to bringing the fight no matter the outcome. So i will see you all in the air at some point and Thanks to everyone who plays and works for Hitech, I cross my fingers that this game will survive for a few more years. signed, A happy pilot. Peace, Gunny

MMMM  I remember when this game had that "new car smell".  Glad you enjoy the game and good luck in the future gaining the experience to mix it up with the aces.  :aok

Fresh to see enthusiasm and excitement on the boards, instead of complaining and purse-fights.  :salute

One good tool available to you is the film viewer. When you're about to enter a fight (or are watching one from the outskirts), start recording film - unless you have the auto-recorder activated upon starting a sortie. Save the film and then later, when you exit the game, go watch the film from all sorts of angles and speeds. See what the guys are doing - speed, angles, manuevers, etc. and then practice some of that yourself. Get with a trainer to help explain stuff and get into good habits - scanning the important instruments, scanning the airspace around you, deciding if you have advantage or disadvantage and what to do about it, etc., etc.

The single most important thing to remember about this game is: it's a game and is meant to be fun. Play it as you see fit and have fun doing it.

Oh, and welcome to the game.  :D

What is this attitude this man has?  It seems to be optimistic and pleasant rather than overly critical and boorish.   :headscratch:

WTG sir!

It's hard to describe the friendships we have amongst this community to anyone who does not play AH.  Some of the coolest people I have ever talked to, and I have actually had the pleasure of meeting a few of them!  Stick around a little while and continue to have fun!  That's what it's all about.
