Found An Old Impala Down The Street.
« on: April 29, 2013, 08:43:09 PM »
There's an old Chevy Impala down the street from where I live. Its in a vacant lot behind an old house that seems to be vacant as well. I asked a few people from over there and they don't know who it belongs to, why its there, how it got there, and more importantly, how long its been there. Its just been rusting away and looks like it's in bad shape. I wish I could take it and fix it up to factory standards and drive it around.

Here's a pic.

Yeah, it needs to be just a few years older. Well maybe 4, 5 or 6. :)
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Well... I will say that these cars have more potential than most give them at first glance.

I had a buddy back in high school come across one similar (can't remember the year) and seeing as he was interested in going into car restoration/fabrication, he made it a project and it came out pretty cool.  Still looked a little off because of the 4 doors, but all in all it was a pretty sweet ride.  Obviously, if you're paying someone to restore something like this it's a complete waste of money unless it has some sentimental value.

At first I thought it was a '73, but indeed it is a '69. So it's only about 6 years to new.

I'd like to see one of those Ford Continentals. Is that like a Chevy Coupe deVille?
