So GIMP had a heart attack on me... lost the last four weeks of my life  :bhead I was nearly finished my skin as well, and no it's not GIMP's fault. I pushed my computer beyond what I knew it could handle.

Good news is, I think I might be able to recover at least two weeks using various saved files.

Just a reminder to everyone.  :salute

Oh that sucks, possibility of a auto save feature being on?

Well I was saving on a regular basis. I was running firefox to listen to music on youtube at the same time. I had gotten the "Running low on virtual memory" message 2 hours prior and chose to ignore it. Firefox started having some issues and it was getting late so I figured I would shut down and go to bed. I got impatient waiting for GIMP to catch up. It wasn't even showing any activity after 5 minutes, so I just went and crashed it deliberately thinking "Oh yea, I saved 15 minutes ago, I shouldn't loose that much." I have never been force fed my words in such a harsh manor...
