1. Karma with 67 kills to 6 deaths for a Kill to Loss of 11.16
2. duk190       66/7 for    9.42
3. boo           122/15 for 8.13
4. Latrobe      46/8 for    5.75
5. EAce         207/42 for 4.92
6. fishguy      104/23 for 4.52
7. nekonabe   66/18 for  3.67
8. cuckoo      112/34 for 3.29

10. flak          50/17 for  2.94

Of note, we had 19 sticks gain 40+ kills in the A5. Of those only 2 had a k/d below 1.0. Clearly determined A5 Butcher Bird Mafia apprentices. Also, will442 needs some props. A few months back he started the A5 journey with a horribly low k/d but lots of attempts. This Tour he managed 153 kills to 74 deaths for a very respectable k/d of 2.06. He is on the way!

I should also note that of the top-10 three fly A5s for JG5 "Eismeer": Boo, Fishguy and Latrobe. Another JG5 stick was just outside the top-10, Angel at k/d 2.55. Also, Will442 has been known to hang out with the Mafia every now and then.

Zacherof, 13 kills and 6 deaths, k/d of 2.17. Respectable. I only track those with 40+ kills in the A5. That is a random number but it sorts out those who spend some time in the A5 versus a few good sorties.

I'd like an A-3 or A-4 modeled. Same 1,700hp engine in a lighter, shorter fuselage. About 400 lbs lighter, and 416 mph at ~20k. A-3 was probably the best dogfight 190 of them all, and the historical scourge of the Spit5 over the channel. Pretty impressive for 1941-42.

babalon your k/d was a respectable 3.4 (17 kills, 5 deaths) the problem was only 17 kills. the cutoff i'm using is 40.

debrody, k/d is a great measure though not the only one. My motivation is to ubber-ize the A5. It's a great bird, and flown as designed by kurt tank the best ride in the game. The flight envelope is different than say the Bf-109 series. Certainly the Spits, Japanese planes and other turners. Considering the challenges an honest, clean (no shades, etc) k/d evaluation is worth it.
