Maybe we should ask for the HE-219 instead?  :D

Fly the B-25, its pretty much the same in handling etc, you just lose all the defensive turrets.

Ah - the red text.

I don't agree with your counter argument. Why? Because the argument you are countering is the better of the two.

Other than being stunning in photos and in real life. For me it's the technology that was used on the aircraft.  The engineering and design of the P-61 to me is amazing.  From the radar system, semi automated turret, night vision ability, wing and control surface designs, the shear size of the 61 being the largest US fighter, and mostly the history of the 61 and their crews.

As for in AH, it is a plane that I think would be used by many, not only an attacker but also a fighter as well. With its range, weaponry, and potiental maneuverablity. (I say potential as I have never flown a 61 to make a true judgement)

I don't think the 61 will be such an über ride in the MA, comparatively speaking the 61 is massive compared to say a 47 or 38.

How do you mean the better of the two Sir?  Are you referring to the production numbers or WWII intended design as a "night fighter"?

I'm referring to it not filling a gap in the game, whatsoever. Other than fans of it's looks and technology,
the LWMA needs this toy about as much as it needs the atom bomb. It would be popular for a month
or two, tops.

Now, when it comes to filling gaps for events, there are easily a dozen or more aircraft and vehicles that
would stop the need for subbing (a major turnoff for players that may otherwise participate in events
more often). Once those gaps are filled then adding toys for toys sake may be a great idea.  :)

I'm not saying I disagree that there are planes that need to be added to fill in gaps for special events in AH.  In the recent past HTC has added planes that fill in the proverbial "gap" in the plane set. Perhaps even special events could be done that incorporated the 61 and it's night time role, since there is often an outcry for night in AH.  Also not every one participates in those special events, and the same could be said as for customer use on 1/3 of the planes/vehicles in AH (some that were said to fill gaps).

Again, I see your point, it seems as usual there two different side of the fence.

... since there is often an outcry for night in AH.

Whatever outcry I've seen is not the majority (or even close). It was tried. Players complained.
HTC stopped doing it. One thing about incorporating a 'night fighter' environment that makes
such a request more of a handful that those requesting seem to realize is the modeling of
radar. That, after-all,  is what made night fighters effective. Do you remember night in AH?
Buffs would ground until dawn. Players would complain about not being able to see. It just
wasn't the rousing success that players requesting it's return seem to think it would be for
no apparent good reason (since nothing has changed in the game to perhaps cause a
different outcome).

Also not every one participates in those special events, and the same could be said as for customer use on 1/3 of the planes/vehicles in AH (some that were said to fill gaps).

More would, is the point. FSO (Friday Squad Ops) sees 250+ players per frame now. It experiences loss of numbers
when events stretch the point of suspension of disbelief by subbing too much or subbing with a model that just
doesn't fill the bill.

I wasn't suggesting night being a permanent fixture to the MA. I was thinking more scenarios and snapshots.  As far as numbers in FSO or Scenarios, I think hard to say why some people show or don't.  It could be a number of things, from plane set, to time, to sides available.  If I recall a conversation with a CM some time back where he mentioned that LW scenerios tend to attract more population than some of the EW scenarios.

The only way to accurately gauge player participation or not would to poll every active subscriber on why they play AH, and if/why/why not they attend FSO, or scenerios.   I think the patrons enjoy scenerios and FSO, but that is not their main reason for playing AH.

I understand, you do not want the 61, and on the other side some do.  And that's really all there is to it.

For reasons posted previously, it would likely disappoint.
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

Maybe they could "LOCK" the gama to a preset level?

and I'm glad it is. My cp is next to a window and I need to change the gamma sometimes due to the lighting.
