Laptops that have an integrated graphics card with shared memory etc. are incompatible with AH2. You should get a model with a gaming graphics card or even better, dump the laptop alltogether and get a proper desktop. With a desktop you'll get 30-40% more performance for the same price and you can build it yourself.

If you buy an OEM laptop it will be a total nightmare with all the bloatware etc. especially if you don't plan to spend over 1000 bucks on it.

Laptops can handle AH just fine as long as they have at least a "dual" graphic card (I forgot how these are called), where intel graphics is used for power saving and the Nvidia chip is chipping in when 3D stuff is required. They do have a low amount of dedicated memory, but more than enough for AH.

I play on Dell XPS 14z at the screen natural resolution, 1024 textures and more than reasonable details and view distance. The frame rates are solid and I can even fly around clouds if there are not too many bombers around. Not a proper gaming machine, but it works.

i was just trying to download the game  i dont play on the laptop, but i use the same win 7 pro 64 bit on it, i get the windows error message for the ah2302 download file whin i try to install :

the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running. check your computers system information to see whether you  need an x86 32 bit  or x64 /64bit version of the program , and then contact the software publisher so what do i need to do to get the game back?

something going on with your system, ah seems to load fine on pretty much all versions of win7 and there are a number of people running it on win8 without issue.

Little googling shows that people who have had problems with corrupt downloads have got this error. Might be the case here - redownload and try again.

get completely rid of norton...it's worse than any virus out there and is what's causing your problems.

I agree with this. I was a devout Norton user for years before I played the game. Afterwards and as well as other reasons, I dumped Norton and use a variety of other programs.

We have standardized on Windows 7 64 bit at HTC.  Yes, the game does fine with it.

Norton is another story.  A horror story.  Only a masochist would endure what it does to a computer.
