My Tanker Crew etc
« on: May 20, 2013, 07:58:57 AM »
The reason I sometimes in properly range my targets......wife ack in tank is quite deadly.

I wonder if HTC will give us an armor Upgrade to the M-3, to withstand explosions like our Humvee did?

240 Saw mounted to back of our Humvee for low passing cons that try to strafe and give position away  :airplane:

He must have hit a 0 instead of a 9....  or he is saying they mounted a saw on a humvee....

There's no reason you can't mount an M249 in a turret.  My unit used to have an M2 facing one direction and an M249 facing the other.

Sorry was a miss type fellas it was a M240B ....but yes it was a field mod we did to a cargo Humvee. We needed more support when we would go out on Log Packs into the city of Mosul
Had my TC ride back there to gun, his only support was cargo strap ......we made do with what we had at the time.  :aok

I think that I was the only SFC in A'stan/Iraq that carried a SAW as a daily weapon.  I had an after market sling that made holding it for CQB as easy as using am M-4.

My younger brother carried the 249 as his primary weapon when he was in 3rd Rangers, I know he loved that thing. Fired it left handed, too, something you're apparently not suppoed to be able to do, or shouldn't.

Yep ours had a thick black over the shoulder sling was supposed to make it easier to carry etc. Our SPC we had assigned it to did not like have to carry it at and if I recall correctly it was almost 23 pounds with the 200 round clip. He also had to carry an extra clip of 200 and he hated to have to clean it as much as we made him do so.
He was happy when we got it field mounted it on the back of the Humvee.
