these days pay attention to bbc and reuters...some ap freelancers do a decent job too but you have to dig through the cruft.
BBC is definitely biased, they just dont do it bluntly so you get a false impression. They do their biasing through editing, not by mixing views with facts. Reuters and other news agencies are also biased in a slightly different way - in how they select their stories. In areas of conflict what they tend to do is to hire local people to do the reporting and filming/pictures. As a result they get a lot of reports about issues that the specific people they hire care about and nearly none of the things they are not interested in, or do not want to report. Outsourcing the selection of what gets reported does not make the final product less biased.

Gibberish!

Majority of people are not interested in facts anyway, they are to busy paying their taxes and fixing their cars :old:

And not causing problems for other hard working people :old:

Informed discussion, grow up.

but we arent talking about the 60's.  but i do remember the moon landing, vietname war, the beatles...

why do you avoid a direct question.  after all I did triple dare you.

i see reading comprehension eludes you even with your own words...

dude, news have never been reported on an unbiased manner and never will.
i provided you with a valid example that news has been reported in an unbiased manner at some point in history. if you had said news hasn't been completely unbiased in the past 20-30 years i would have agreed, for the most part (there have been numerous times when nothing but facts were presented without the use of words indicating personal judgement by the reporting party), but you didn't. i triple dare you to use your skull for something besides a hat rack...

no you are showing yours.  we are talking about usa news reporting not what happens in Europe.

semp
actually no, "we" are not. none of the commercial television entities (abc, cbs, nbc, fox) restrict their news to the u.s. only, whatever global news suits them to report gets reported. most of the time they get the story right and present just the facts. but it is usually just a short blip when they're trying to brush it under the carpet of american ignorance. it's more important to americans to hear about wal-mart or mc donald's than to hear about some kids dying in a backwater country, after our intelligence agencies trained and armed a bunch of goat herders. that's just an example, don't do what you normally do; glom onto it and try to claim i'm saying valid news never gets reported.

of course I am a loser.  so please join me at the shelter where I serve dinner every other Thursday when i work daylight..  and after that please help me take me those who want to get help staying clean and sober to the aa meetings.  after all you are the almighty who has never sinned.  I tell you what, I'll let you help me with my gf who's a full blown alcoholic and is dying from it.  I sure could use some help with her.

after all I only work no less than 60 hours a week.  a loser I am, but sure I dont feel like it.  and if you want details why dont you ask some of my old squadies when I helped those who needed with either a couple of months fees or some extra hardware that I had laying around.  after all I know they would have done the same for me.

a loser I am, but I am proud to say you can kiss my donut as I would rather be a loser than some asswhiper like you.  btw tomorrow I'll be gone in the morning looking for vets who need shelter and food.  hope you have a good time in your hard earned barbq.

you should know better than to hold up your personal crusades as a sign of your intelligent sainthood. since i'm not in the mood to point out the failure, i'll just wish you good luck.

I wouldn't say the BBC are biased plus they make some world class documentaries  :old:

Haha good point.

I know during the ball I always end up playing the MP trying to keep guys in my unit from trying to fight it out with the rangers in the bar. Sheesh.....

The worst part is when you get the groups walking away and the ONE PERSON says something as they're all walking away.....then the brawl begins.  :bhead
