To the members of this great community, over 10 years ago, 68KO and I accepted the unit Guidon of the 68th Lightning Lancers and pledged to take on the mantle and responsibility as a Knight. It's hard to believe 10 years have passed since that pledge, and yet in so many ways it seems like only yesterday.
So much has transpired during those 10 years, and during that time, this game and community has grown exponentially on numerous fronts, not to mention new maps, aircraft, a strategic system and new players.
We have fostered invaluable relationships with both Rooks and Bishops during conventions, Special Events, Friday Squad Operations, Wednesday Night Snapshots, and other duties as part of the CM team to make this game even better.
Command is always a privilege. Command is also an honor. To the men and women of the Knights - I thank you all for your support, but also for the goodwill with which you have performed your duty as a Knight. I personally offer my thanks to you for that commitment. I render a profound salute of respect and thanks to each and every one of you, and our paths will cross again.
As the 68th Lightning Lancers move on to rotating between countries, the 68th must focus their attention on new horizons, and do so eagerly and with great confidence. That confidence comes, in part, from my own belief in what this organization is doing each and every day. It also comes from all I have learned and experienced with the Knights. This is not a farewell to the Knights but a chance to meet and make new friends as well as fighting side by side with previous red dots. Until then my friends, "Check Six!", it just might be a 68th!
