recent ping issues?

I truly know little about ping, but prior to the last patch I was usually 80-90. This is what I see at the select arena screen. Of late, and seemingly since the latest patch, I am seeing triple digits, generally 120. Last night I was having a few delays, I would type in the chat buffer hit enter and it took what seemed like 1-2 seconds for it to show in buffer. I wasn't sure if that was related to ping or other issues, such as crazy weather across the US of late. I have comcast and hi speed connection, not on wi-fi. Yet.

the recent weather could be the cause for your ping rate to be higher than normal.

Ive seen ping go from around 55ish to 95ish at around the time i think htc moved servers. Of course could be any number of things. Ive got high speed comcast as well.
